Las Tintoreras Islets Shark Crevasse & Turquoise Bay Snorkel
Board a small boat at Puerto Villamil pier for a scenic navigation across the bay. Spot Galapagos penguins perched on volcanic rocks and blue-footed boobies plunge-diving. Disembark on the jagged basalt islet of Tintoreras for an interpretive guided walk.
Peer directly into the famous volcanic fissure where dozens of white-tip reef sharks (tintoreras) rest peacefully in crystal-clear water. Observe the largest marine iguana colony in Isabela. Gear up for fantastic snorkeling in a sheltered turquoise bay with curious sea lion pups, Pacific green turtles, and colorful rays.
Daily routing may be adjusted by the Galapagos National Park authority or vessel captain according to weather and sea conditions.
